She's a Lady

Building Confident Girls. Developing Strong Women.

She's a Lady creates a safe and encouraging environment where girls ages 8–18 can learn practical life skills, build confidence, discover their strengths, ask important questions, and receive guidance from positive women and professionals.

A Program Built for Every Girl

She's a Lady is designed to be a transformational experience where girls feel safe, valued, and inspired. Our program recognizes that every girl has unique questions, challenges, and dreams—and she deserves support as she navigates her journey to womanhood.

Whether a girl is exploring who she is, facing difficult decisions, or simply wanting to connect with other girls and strong female role models, She's a Lady provides education, encouragement, mentorship, and practical tools that she can carry with her throughout her life.

The Legacy Continues

She's a Lady is especially meaningful to New Start Health and Education Services because it represents part of the vision established by our founders, Drs. Norman and Lorraine Stiggers. For decades, they demonstrated an unwavering belief that every young person—regardless of circumstance—deserves education, encouragement, exposure, and people who believe in them.

Following their passing, their daughter and current Executive Director, Alleta-Cymone LaGrange, is carrying this program forward and building upon the work they began. She's a Lady stands as a testament to their legacy and their life's work.

"She's a Lady is more than a program to us. It is part of a legacy. Drs. Norman and Lorraine Stiggers believed that when children are given knowledge, encouragement, exposure, and people who believe in them, their lives can change. Today, we are continuing that work—one young lady at a time."

As we prepare to relaunch and expand She's a Lady, we honor the vision of our founders by ensuring that every girl who participates experiences the same love, care, and belief in her potential that Drs. Stiggers extended to countless young people throughout their lives.
